About

Let’s redefine success together.

There’s a lot of pressure on us. To always be on. To always have it together. To always know what we’re doing (is that just me?)

I hope that this can be a quiet place for you to come when your soul needs a soft place to land.

That’s what we’re doing here together. Noticing and celebrating the ordinary moments. Paying attention to our right-now lives just as they are.

celebrating slow, rejoicing in the ordinary

Here’s what I know for sure. Ordinary isn’t boring, and slow isn’t lazy.

What to expect here:

  • practices and rituals for rejoicing in the ordinary

  • simple recipes for celebrating the everyday

  • ideas for clearing the chaos for time well spent

  • community of women dedicated to a slower, kinder, softer way of life

Hi! I’m Carrie, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a wife, mother, and nurse-turned-freelance writer.

I’m also tired, like really tired. I’ve spent much of the last decade trying every productivity hack, morning routine, and color-coded family schedule ever posted to Pinterest to maximize my time and prove… something, I’m truly not sure what but it felt really important at the time.

And over the last few years, I’ve slowly started to pay attention to what the hustle does to me and to my health, and to my soul. I’ve made tiny changes, studied the health research, talked with God, and walked away from what I could.

This little corner of the internet is where I share what I’m learning. Not because I have it all figured out, but because it IS so hard for me to slow down and see the beauty in the ordinary days. This does not come naturally to me friends, so if you’re feeling skeptical right now, I’m right there with you.

I just know that the old way wasn’t it, and I’m guessing that if you’re still reading, you’re ready for a new way of being too.

And hey, maybe we’ve been overcomplicating it. Maybe a slower, kinder, softer way of life isn’t waiting for you at the end of another goal. Maybe it’s closer than you thought. Let’s take the first step together.
